Are you food prepared for a natural disaster??

On March 5, 2012 Kentucky was hit by a line of storms that had wreaked havoc across the US . When the storms cleared, an entire town near me was completely leveled for all intents and purposes. Nestled in the hills of the Daniel Boone Forest, surrounded by tall mountains and Cave Run Lake, West Liberty , KY never saw itself as an area that a tornado would end up in, until that day. Children trapped in their schools, emergency personnel left as devastated as the people there were there to rescue. Many not able to deal with the loss of everything they owned because of recovering what they could for others. Granted the surrounding areas jumped in to help everyone, with donations, housing, food, clothing. Topping the insult of losing it all to those storms came the snow that fell just 2 days later.

I have been so blessed to never have to have been affected by such devastation. But the thought that it happened so close to me definitely put a bug in my ear about how unprepared we truly were in the event of an emergency. Every spring our local television stations offer programs that teach us how to have a safety spot that is well stocked and ready for usage at any time. While many of us may never have to be prepared for days of shelter and safety in case of a natural disaster, we still need to be prepared. We often think of things like tornadoes and earthquakes or floods as reasons to have a shelter stocked, but what about a winter storm that traps you at home. What if electricity is out for other reasons. Do you have a way to prepare good for you foods ?

Recently I learned about a service called Efoods. Efoods is a sustainable food company that specializes in high quality meals for families that are shelf stable for long periods, and taste good. I know when you think shelf stable foods instantly your mind pictures a soldier eating from a cardboard looking plate, unrecognizable items. Not anymore. Efoods has taken the sustainable shelf food industry and turned it on it’s head. Beating other companies not only in cost, but taste and quality of foods.

Right now they are running a special for bloggers and their readers to encourage everyone to be emergency prepared. Using the buttons below go find out for yourself, using a huge discount, how easy it is to become ready to support your family food wise, for minimal cost without sacrificing taste.
