Lessons I learned from my Mother.. Writers Workshop

IF

As many of you know I lost my mother on New Years Eve last year. Another 12 hours and she would have made it to the New Year itself. There are days I can hardly believe it has been almost 5 months since she left us. There are days when I don't want to think about it, I want to go through a day where something , even something small reminds me of her. So when I went looking for something to write about today I came to Mama Kat's Writers Workshop. Of course with Mothers Day fast approaching that … [Read more...]

But I got her home safely got her all set up and her phone next to her if she needs me..She can barely stay awake , tehy said it was from the sedation 2 days in a row.. but her O2 sats kept dropping WITH oxygen on … [Read more...]

I’m asking for prayers PLEASE

Believe it or not, I am a basket case. Me who has it all together and balances it with a smile, a laugh and some snarky comments is left without a thing to laugh about right now. Most of you know that I care for my mother, who lives behind me. What most don't know ,save a select few , is my mother has been very ill for the last 3 months. Her sugar has been out of whack , so has her BP. She also developed diarrhea that wouldn't quit. Her doctor is about as useful as teats on a boar hog. She has a … [Read more...]

True story Tuesday , my first time playing

Driving Miss Dolly ( Morgan Freeman I ain’t)

This is my mom who turned 71 this year.. Doesn't look it does she??  However in the last few years time has taken a nasty toll on her physically. She has had both hip replaced, needs knee surgery, has had 3 heart operations and has a tear in her retina and cataracts starting. With all of that let's toss diabetes, high blood pressure and sleep apnea in the mix. My mom has aged beautifully considering the life she has lived and survived. I used to look at her and my memaw ( her mommy) and try … [Read more...]
