For my friends across the pond…Let’s play BINGO

When I first got onto the internet, it was back in the days Yahoo was THE place to be, and the place for games. From Canasta to Bingo it all was found on that site, for free. But as the internet popularity grew, so did people’s desire for gaming areas. From Poker to Roulette new places popped up everyday, some offering actual jackpots. The one catch with many of these sites is their inability to give jackpots to people outside the United States.  For those of us in the States that was alright, we would pay our fees for membership for the chance to win a couple thousand or less in jackpots. But for my British friends this wasn’t exactly fair. They had also paid their dues, but were unable to collect on jackpots.

One of my favorite games to play has always been Bingo. I love the excitement of marking the cards, getting close and hitting that button to say I have the win! What makes it even better is when they mix up the patterns. Gone are the days of simply making a straight line to have the win. Bingo has evolved with the internet. Many places offer alternative ways to win, from making letters to complete blackouts, nothing is surprising when playing a Bingo game online. It also introduces the opportunity for you to use multiple cards much easier then if you were simply sitting in a bingo hall somewhere with a dauber and a stack of paper boards. Truth be told those are the games I find the most fun. It makes it not so simple for anyone to win, and ups the odds for everyone to stand a chance.

I love the opportunity public gaming sites offer people to converse with others from all over the world. Just as important as the game are the people you are playing with. You can learn a lot in a chat room on a game site. The people are as varied as the ways to hit bingo. It is without a doubt an universal game, bringing people who may not speak the same language together in a spirit of sportsmanship and fun. Gone also are the simple round daubers, many sites allowing you to use a variety of shapes to mark your board from hearts to stars, even animal shapes. Me, I prefer the heart shapes, cause I love people and I love games. So good luck to all my gamer friends across the pond. May your wins be big and your caller call all your numbers.
