When it comes to Reality TV, I …..
Loathe it with a passion. What irks me the most is the way people really believe it is reality. Trust me it isn’t. There is a level of reality, they watch the behaviors of every character and build up a story line around it.. They may not have a script but they definitely have guidelines based upon the interaction within the dynamics of the group. The only reality TV I watch is found on Discovery Health and I love Lizard Lick Towing on TRUTV. Other than that I hate it. I miss shows like Cosby Show and Family Ties. I miss people I could relate to in real life if I met them on the street. For me reality has removed that because most of the participants are , in most cases, people I would prefer to whoop before speaking to them. Individuals who are willing to compromise their anything for the chance to make easy money. Sorry but my pride is worth more than any grand prize you could offer me. I have to wonder do these people watch their own shows and have a *headdesk* moment when they realize how asinine they appear on the show/ I know they should that is for sure..
Now go link up at any of these wonderful ladies pages.. and have fun.

I agree, there’s not much reality in it at all – which also makes it a guilty pleasure ;/

The ONLY reality type show I watch is Duck Dynasty. Beyond that I really don’t even watch tv. I rarely catch the news. Been that way for years. I don’t mind seeing as how tv sucks

I remember when Survivor first came on – I was totally hooked. I loved every second of it. I remember saying to my ex husband at the time that it HAD to be fake, but it was great television. But man, reality tv has gone to shit since then and I don’t watch any of it any more.
Oh thank you so much for linking up with us and I too miss shows like Family Ties and The Cosby Show, that made me laugh and relate to on some level!!

Youre so right. It’s very fake and predictable. But also addictive. Which is why I have to stay away because I would watch ALL of it.

I agree completely! I don’t watch any of them. But I know from the one time I watched Fear Factor that it all must be fake. I mean, seriously, somebody has access to 100-year old eggnog? I call BS.

I ran across Lizard Lick Towing one night and laughed my tail off. Just down the channel dial, I found a hispanic spin off of it filmed in Miami, that was just as funny. Ahhh, my new goal in life is to be a Repo Man!!! lol I will agree with you, it is an entertaining show. I have to keep “show” singular as I’ve only seen it once. Good post!

I always wonder that too – do they forget the cameras are there, or do they just not care that they look like complete morons or jerks? #FTSF

I’m with you there…most of them are trashy – talking about The Kardashians, Jersey Shore, and the rest of them. But, some of them are great. Like MasterChef. That’s actually where I discovered my love for cooking. Before then, I’d just bang stuff in the oven and hope for the best. I think it’s scary how many reality TV shows there are these days compared to 10 years ago. Every celebrity couple seems to have a new one. Sad…
