So I was going to tell you about my new job on Friday, and I got to tell you a little bit, but then the storms came. Well I wouldn’t even call them storms persay. We had winds, HIGH winds, and nothing else.
But we didn’t need anything else. I was driving home following Gene when they hit. Have you ever seen the movie ‘Twister”? Well it was like that, only no tornado. But tons of broken trees, lines and DEBRIS we have Debris my husband cried out as a sheet of plastic flew past his truck window. When we arrived on our hill we tried to get everything in the house. Literally, the second we closed the door a metal tailgate cover went flying over the exact spot Devin had just stepped off of. It would have killed him had he still been there. God is good. No major damage here, but we did lose internet. For. the . entire. weekend. Do you know how long the weekend is when you have no internet, the temperatures are set to the gates of Hell and your house is filled with teens?? Yeah .. LOOOOONNNNGGGG. Saturday we got out of the house and went to the movies. I was meeting a bunch of women for Magic Mike and the boys and Daddy were going to see other movies. By the time I got done we were going to be in 4 different theaters and everyone had a different start time.
Magic Mike.. oh my my my. Picture a theater filled with roughly 150 women and 4 men. Which of course led our group to crack up. We all knew those guys came in the hopes of getting a little bit AFTER the movie had us all hot and bothered. I highly recommend the film it is really interesting, and of course it has Channing Tatum in it. HELLO do we need any other reason. While I didn’t have internet, I did have FB on my phone where I was forced to put up statuses likeeeee ” Dear theater owners, plastic throw away seat covers in theaters showing Magic Mike, just a helpful suggestion..” Yeah I am classy like that.. ahem..
So Today we finally got internet back. I am glad because I missed ya’ll. And I missed things like the fact that I got this awesome award from Leigh at Leigh vs. Laundry. 
Every Friday she does this thing called Freakshow Friday where she pulls a funny pic from online and asks us to caption it. This week I won.. Go me go me go me..
Although the storms were kinda rough and left us without interaction with the world through the internet, it did leave us with beautiful skies at sunset.
I feel your pain on the internet. We had a fire on our mountain so I was without it for 48 hours. HATED EVERY GOD AWFUL MINUTE OF IT!!!
I think I must be getting old, but ummm, Magic Mike just doesn’t turn me on. I mean, I’m not interested in seeing it. You do crack me up about the throw away plastic seats. You slutbucket. (I say that with love you know)
