I’m still here.. don’t count me out yet

I swear I haven’t forgotten about ya’ll. I have been so busy this week, with work and Doug had surgery on Friday on his knee again. This weekend I have spent trying to get this house cleaned up and not so cluttered looking. Still loving the job. It has been just what I needed to get myself back into a better frame of mind. I still have my rough days but they are farther between. Get my first paycheck on Monday woot woot.

Thursday storms came through and cooled it down about 20 degrees, since it was 103 that still left it in the 80′s but that sure beat 103. The storm was horrible, at one point we could not see a truck at the pumps. We have CAT scales at our store as well. The truckers use them to ensure they are below weight and won’t get fined for hauling heavy. We had just had a trucker leave the scales when  a bolt of lightning struck close by, the camera that is set for the scales lit up a bright white and our scales went down. The computer for them just went poof. So the manager was calling to get that fixed the shift supervisor was calling to get Tcheck working again, ComData ( another way truckers pay), and the lottery machine all went offline. It took nearly an hour for us to get some sort of semblance back in many of our systems, getting them back up and online and when the manager went into the office an alarm was going off. Apparently one of the conduit units on the roof was on fire. So she spent the next couple of hours taking care of that. It wasn’t endangering the building but it did effect many of our computerized systems, like credit card payments at the pump. So it made it interesting.

This week I work Monday through Friday 9-5 again. I am hoping this week will fly by. I will be visiting you all as I can after work and trying to get caught up. I also got an Influenster box I need to tell you all about. I just love that program and am so excited to be a part of it.
