This weekend gave us a glimpse of fall. With temperatures dropping into the low 60s overnight and beautiful skies that glowed with stars it was the perfect weekend for some fire pit and jam sessions. Top that off with a meteor shower that would be visible on Saturday night and we had the makings of some fun. Saturday we spent cleaning the yard. Though the summer was dry for nearly a month, sparking drought conditions, July made up for it. Every time we would get ready to mow, more rain would move in, letting the grass grow taller. So while I spent the day IN the house trying to play catch up on laundry and general cleaning the guys worked in the yard.
Last night we lit the fire in the fire pit, had some dinner and sat around just kicking back and watching the sky. My nephew came with his guitar, Doug brought out his and we had an old fashioned jam session in the back yard. Did some reminiscing and shared some laughs. I didn’t come in the house till 230 this morning.
Today has been lazy day. For everyone. Those late nights are kicking our butts lol… but here are a few photos of the fun we had

I have enjoyed feeling like fall is coming and we are probably going to miss the super heat that is usually August in the south! Maybe we will get a ‘real’ winter down here in SC!
