Summer fun with a budget friendly timeshare rental.

Having a large family often makes it difficult for us to find reasonably priced vacation options. All of my kids are into different things, so it is never as simple as a theme park visit for the day. The one thing we can all agree on is a place with a pool area, if there is a beach attached even better. My parents owned a timeshare rental in North Carolina. With family in Virginia it was a great place to go stay for way less then the cost of a hotel, and still be close enough to family members and friends we wanted to see. Other then the cost of gas to get down there it was much cheaper on us for food and fun.

I can remember going with my husband and my 2 oldest sons while I was pregnant with our 3rd child. Our place was right on the beach and also had a pool and hot tub which were put to very good use. My husband had never before seen the ocean and it was a thrill watching his face every morning as we went to the beach to spend time with our kids. The best part was our condo had room for 9 people so we were also able to bring a few more family members along for the fun. When the cost was split for gas among everyone the trip was practically nothing at all. My husband and I took the master suite that had its own bathroom and deck and found ourselves sitting on it late in the evening while everyone else was watching television downstairs. The sounds of the waves crashing on the shore nearby was so soothing. My husband also got to see the beauty of a thunderstorm as it rolled across the ocean. I truly don’t think there is a more beautiful scene to behold. In the early morning he would go for a walk along the shoreline before everyone else was up and just enjoy the tranquility of the ocean in its predawn hours.Complete with a fully equipped kitchen we were able to cook all of our meals in the condo, or even grill out on one of the barbecue grills outside. Picnic tables and lounge chairs gave us the ability to relax in the sun. Centrally located to tons of fun places like mini golf and Kitty Hawk where the Wright Brothers took flight. We had the best of it all. A vacation away from home with the amenities of home.

Although we have not been able to return since that time we were able to offer our time up to someone else to enjoy it as much as we did. Health reasons for my parents kept us from traveling very far, neither of them able to sit for long periods. But now not only can we offer our time to another family to make memories with, we can also exchange our week with someone else through RedWeek Travel. Why RedWeek? RedWeek was used to denote the most popular times of travel for various resorts, like ski season at Christmas, or beach season in the summer on the shore. But now we don’t just have options here in the States but around the world. By going to their site we have the ability to find a place to get away to, within our budget. So while we might not jet off to Australia I might hop down to Cadiz, Kentucky and explore more of my home state with my kids. Sometimes the best vacations are in your own backyard. But if I prefer more exotic locales I can find a place in nearly any city I can imagine. Think of all the bloggers I could visit if I picked a resort somewhere near Missouri, or Texas, or Arizona even California. The best part is the cost is much cheaper than what I would spend on a hotel and eating out.
