The perfect program for watermarking and editing those photos you love

I was recently given the chance to use a new program geared towards photographers and bloggers who take a lot of photos. With the recent stirrings in the blogging world concerning photo stealing I was looking for a program that allowed me to easily watermark my photos all at once. As a blogger , keeping my hard work being displayed or advertised as MY work I knew I needed something that was easy to use, but capable of handling large batches of photos at once. I found PearlMountain Image Converter. A software available for download that makes it easy for beginning photo buggers like me to mark my pictures before uploading them to the internet.

I found the program so simply even my kids can use it, and we all know my boys love hamming it up for the camera, even if momma isn’t taking the picture. This allows them to keep their pictures as theirs and deters others from copy and pasting it elsewhere. Watermarking capabilities include images or text placed on the photos one at a time, or an entire shoot in seconds. The options are wonderful from font, color and shadowing, even where you would like it to appear on the picture. So if I am printing them for others I can safely place the watermark in a corner, if I am uploading them to a social media sight I can simply change the color and the opacity and place it through the middle of the photograph. Perfect for a photographer that uses social media to showcase their work or notify their customers of their order and approving the pictures.

But the program doesn’t just watermark. It also allows you to do some basic edits to photos, crop, rotate or even make animated GIFs. All of this is as easy as watermarking is. The program does all the work, you simply give it the images to work with. In making animated GIF files you get to decide the order, the time it runs, and the time span between the switching. I had a lot of fun with this part, because not only do I do a lot of photography I love to make slide shows out of them as well. Want to make a quick montage for your high school graduate of their entire life to this moment, use the animated GIF feature and load up the photos you want to use. One button click and it formats and breaks it down in the order you listed and you can watch your baby grow up before you eyes in seconds.

We have all have the photo shoots where that one thing you didn’t want in the picture winds up there anyway.. simply upload it and crop that picture. Again one click and it’s done. The best thing about this whole program is it gives you the ability to load your modified pictures into the original folder or make a whole new one. I prefer doing the new one because then I can continue to edit the originals until I like them and then watermark and upload. This is definitely a program I would recommend to all photographers and bloggers from just starting to being in the business for a long time.

  1. Sounds like a terrific program – especially since poor Dana just had one of her awesome pictures wind up stolen on a foreign language website!

  3. This is great timing….I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to watermark my images so they don’t wonder off….not that I’m all that or anything, I just loathe the thought they can be pilfered.
