Ok I have done a ton of blog carnivals and I love them. I also often wander off on my own little tangent, which can be a dangerous thing for me. Cause I tend to get a little mouthy.. ok maybe more then a little lol… anyway today I decided to link up with Once upon a Miracle and play…….. *insert drum roll here*
If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you will know that 2 years ago my mother fell and broke her hip. She lived with my hubby and I for 9 months total . her hospital bed was set up in our dining room and she had all of her stuff there. Including her potty chair. Due to hip replacement she was not allowed a lot of movement and could not get lo enough to sit on our ahem stools so she had her own. Well my hubby is a person that will walk into a room looking down, usually deep in thought. He will not look at anything except what he is after, won’t even notice you are in the room unless you speak to him by calling his name. One day he came into the kitchen to get him a drink and he heard my mom holler” Eugene!”. his of course led him to look up and get a full moon from my mom who was apparently just about to sit on her potty chair. Nightgown pulled up , other stuff pulled down. My poor hubby came RUNNING back into the living room flustered and embarassed. I just had to laugh. Mom was hollering, “I didn’t want him to look”
His response, ” I wasn’t going to till you called my name”.
Bless his heart he is such a good sport and probably saw more of my momma then he ever wanted to see in his lifetime. It was too funny…

So funny! At least he didn't trip over the potty chair with Mom on it. Yeesh – only guys have the luxury of walking around not paying attention

Your poor husband! And poor Mama too! This is hysterical! Terrible and funny at the same time! Poor things!
LMAO! Good for Momma to give him a warning!
Now that is funny and it's probably a vision he can't erase from his memory banks!
ROFL, I don't know who I feel worse for, your hubby or your mom!
WHOA!!! I don't think either my mother or my husband could survive a story like that! Too funny!
Thanks for linking up!
Hahahaha- I have so been there! We cared for both my mother and father in law as they aged and it wasn't pretty at times. I learned a lot about home healthcare insurance though and the absolute need for it as we get older.
I can see the look on your husband's face as he went running into the other room.
this is so funny! Glad to have found your blog
Awww. It's all in the fun of family, yes?
